Q: What can I do with my excess dough scraps?
A: Why, make Pie Pinwheels, of course!

All you need to make Pie Pinwheels are dough scraps, melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and an oven!
Before you get started, gently press your dough scraps into a dough ball. Wrap the dough ball in plastic wrap, press it into a disk, and allow it to cool in your refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Once your dough ball has sufficiently chilled, follow the instructions below for super simple (and tasty!) Pie Pinwheels.
Note: There are not specific measurements associated with this recipe. Since the amount of dough scraps varies, this recipe is best when you "bake by taste".
Ingredients:
Pie Dough Scraps (formed into a dough disk & chilled)
Melted Butter
Sugar
Cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Pre-heat your oven to 350°.
2. Roll your pie dough out to approximately 1/4" thick.
3. Brush your pie dough with a thin layer of melted butter.
4. Sprinkle your desired amount of sugar on the pie dough. Now is not the time to be stingy! I like to do a thin, even layer of sugar across the entire pie dough.
5. Top the sprinkled sugar with a thin, even layer of cinnamon.
6. Using your hands, spread the cinnamon and sugar evenly across the pie dough.
7. Roll the pie dough into a tight tube. Using a bench scraper, cut 1" pieces.
8. Place the pieces on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake until golden brown (approximately 15 minutes).
9. Allow to cool and enjoy!
